In Vitro Fertilization

Donors can be housed at PRS for your convenience or can be hauled in for same day appointments!
Step 1 – Ovum Pick-Up (OPU)

The donors can be hauled in and collected the same day or boarded here at PRS for bi-weekly collections.
Step 2 – Oocyte Prep / Lab Delivery

The oocytes are graded and placed into a Micro-Q to be transported to the lab.
Step 3 – Fertilization

The oocytes are fertilized with the bull of your choice. The oocytes can be split to multiple bulls if there are a certain number of oocytes collected. We also have the capability to reverse sort conventional semen to either male or female or use presorted semen.
Step 4 – Embryo Development

The fertilized oocytes will stay in an incubator and develop into embryos.
Step 5 – Final day

The embryos are either frozen or implanted fresh into recip cows.
